    Why can I not play a digital game that I own?


    I own the game "Forza Horizon 3" but haven't played it since 2018, the game came with my xbox 1 and I have since moved to series x I reinstalled the game and add ons today and went to play but was met with a message saying "Do you own this game or app?" I have tried my other 2 accounts and the problem persists and I have also tried many other things such as uninstalling and reinstalling the game but nothing has worked.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    If the digital games in question were free games with gold you need gold membership to play them again

    Why won't Backward compatible games play remotely?

    Why wouldn't this work for Digital Games I own. For instance Splinter Cell Games or Disc Versions of Games that I can play normally but not remote? What makes those different?

    So you own the game both on disc and as a separate digital purchase? Can you share a screenshot of the digital purchase history to confirm your game? I am confused as to why there would be a digital purchase since the game needs physical accessories in order to play, which you obviously would not get when making a digital purchase.
