Why can I not join anything it say network error?

For me, it kept saying joining online session or something like that and I never joined anything. It was right after the release of the demo. Maybe there was some problems with the network (as always).

I can now play online but can't join any Xbox live party's it says there maybe a network error ? No *** Sherlock I guessed that but what is the error ? If it told me It would help typical MS won't tell u when they screw up

Our neighbor got xbox, he rented halo reach, he bought one month xbox live, when trying to join a party with my son he is getting a network error, said .nat error. I went over to his house and he can join a matchmaking session with others but can not join
to our invite. When he entered the match making session it did give him a network error but allowed him to enter the matchmaking session.

Thanks for reaching out to the forums. We understand you are having issue joining friends. We recommend looking at the NAT type on the console and within game. If the NAT is anything but Open it will cause issues joining people. You can look over the

So that we can best help out, can you clarify what happens when you try to join your friend's game? Do you get an error message?

Be sure that both you and your friend have an open NAT type. To view that, head to Settings > Network Settings > Detailed Network Statistics. If either you have anything other than an open NAT, run through this

NAT troubleshooter.
