Why can I not click the right stick on my Xbox elite series 2 controller?

The standard Series X controller has a default stick tension that is not adjustable. However, the Elite Series 2 controller has adjustable stick tension with three different settings as you mentioned in your question. With the Elite Series 2 controller, you can increase or decrease the stick resistance according to your preference.



I understand that increased stick resistance may be helpful for you due to your neurological condition. I recommend trying out the Elite Series 2 controller in-store or with a friend who owns one to see if the highest resistance setting is suitable for you before making the investment.

Hi Beau,

I don't think it's possible at this moment to map the right or left sticks to assign them to specific buttons. What you can do is map clicking in the right stick into press Right Trigger. But the only customization with the sticks are swapping the left and the right, or inverting the Y axis.

I don't personally own the adaptive controller, but trying these settings with the Elite Series 2 controller does not allow me to do so. If there are any more questions, please let me know.

I hear you and empathize with your issue. I bought an Xbox Elite Series 2, and after 2 months, I had nearly unplayable stick drift on the right stick. I did put in about 40-50 hours a week on the controller, but I had really hoped the redesign would hold
up better than the Elite Series 1. If you have a warranty, Microsoft can replace your entire controller if the time threshold is not exceeded. I had to install new sticks in my controller, which when taken apart, are metal sticks compared to plastic sticks
in the normal controller. I would search in your local area to see if there is a console/controller repair service in your city. I took mine there, and has been working like new! I even have the lowest-lower dead-zone settings on my fps games.

my 1st elite: crash gumi grips. send back to service, but i buy a new one for this 2 week. Try this new: right stick drift to right...

ok, my 1st elite came back, try this. left stick drift to right (fresh new controller from ms service)

ok i sent back this 2 broken Elites.

1-2 week done, get 2 new fresh Elites... tested... both new Elite's (my 3rd and 4th) left sticks drift to right...

my last 5 Elites broken, 3 fresh from Xbox Support. Thats a big joke.
