Why can I not chat in game only in a party?

When did this issue start to occur? Please check your account as well on https://enforcement.xbox.com/ if there's a communication suspension.

Alternatively, please sign in with a different profile and check if you could talk using it.

If you want to get a team together and talk in party chat as a squad, add me. (you can only talk to your squad by the way [thats how it was in bad company], thats why your not hearing anyone you can only talk to other people if they are close to you) i
find party chat works better for a squad than the in-game squad chat. and as somebody else said the days of in-game chat with everybody using mics are over. thats why we have party chat (of course, nobody uses it like that).

Don't know why people are still using game chat. Since there is only 8 people to a world, why not do party chat? game chat's never worked that great anyways.

I hate party chat. I miss the days of trash talk in lobbies and actual communication in games. This is why I basically only play games that require communication for victory like Left 4 Dead 2. People actually get out of their party chats and talk to their
teammates in game so they can win.

I'm not sure how partying up can be considered cheating? The only difference between a game chat and party is that in game chat, everyone in the lobby can hear you between games - whereas in party, its private.

The only game mode I know and have played where parties aren't allowed is S&D as being in a party would allow dead team members to guide and this is entirely correct.
