Why can I not add anything to my homescreen?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you with your concern.

I have here steps that we can try, please perform a power cycle on your console by following the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE​​​

"1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off. ​​​

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller. ​​"

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

"Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps."

The new homescreen is awful! Hopefully Microsoft does a feedback round, if anyone knows a place where I can currently give feedback to officials from ms, post the link. If we all dislike it, they need to change it. Why are my game icons soooooo small xD And why do I have an endless list of stupid adds and games like Fortnite directly under my apps sections. It's even worse than the stuff Google designs

Is the console setup correctly? You said you changed cables etc.

If your network hardware is functioning correctly you may not need to do a offline update, but you will have to get to the Xbox Startup Trouble-shooter screen, as per

1. Power off your console, and then unplug the mains lead to ensure that the console is completely powered off.
   
2. Wait 30 seconds, and then plug the mains lead back in.
   
3. Press and hold the Pair button and the Eject button on the console, and then press the Xbox button  on the console.
   
4. Continue holding the Pair and Eject buttons for 10-15 seconds.
   
5. Listen for two “power-up” tones a couple of seconds apart. You can release the Pair and Eject buttons after the second power-up tone.
   
6. The console should power up and take you directly to the Xbox Start-up Trouble-shooter.
   

"NOTE: Bind is the pairing button of the control."

In your reply you state control and needs amending It should be CONSOLE.

This procedure works for all One line consoles.
