Why can I not access messages from my Xbox App on mobile or Windows 10?

Thanks for reaching out to us here on the forums with this situation. I understand you're having trouble with getting messages to show up on you Xbox App on Windows 10 is that correct? Have you tried updating the app itself or your operating system of Windows
by any chance?
How to get software and driver updates for Windows 10. If that doesn't help you way want to consider uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

See if you can buy by accessing the Microsoft Store in Xbox App in mobile or Windows 10 or by browser.

Hey there, can you send messages on other platforms? E.g: Xbox Console, Mobile App, Windows 10, etc.

I am not sure whether achievements sync to XBOX servers on Windows 10 Mobile. I do know that the messaging component is gone from the XCCA (on Windows 10, not sure about phones). Nevertheless, clubs are still present. Just checked that. Messaging can only
be done in the new XBOX PC App (XPA) and the XBOX Game Bar (XGB).

As of today 1/1/2016 I can once again access my messages via web browser on xbox.com which is great but my xbox app for windows 10 was still crashing when I clicked on messages (could still get notifications of messages and access messages for a specific
player, just like before). I did as Mr Ghost suggested to see if there was a system message from xbox live and sure enough there was! I was able to delete it via smartglass for iOS. Once I did that I could once again use messages from the xbox app for windows
10.
