Why are xbox's so cheap?

About a week ago I woke up in the middle of the night to my xbox one x spitting a game out over and over. I took the game out and it kept beeping still. I went on the website to see how much it would cost to repair and they said on the site it would cost
275 dollars to repair which is ridiculous. You can find them on sale sometimes for 300. I already had to send a first gen xbox one in for repair and I had to send 3 or 4 xbox 360s in.

Does Microsoft just make cheap consoles? My xbox's literally just sit there. I dont hit them or even move them around that much. I barely even played the xbox one x. I mainly watched movies on it.

because interestingly, the building materials of the one and the x are far superior to that of the competition

My xbox one x is nearly a year old and I have had no major problems on it and have thoroughly enjoyed my time playing on it.

An X is a great machine. Robust, quiet and powerfull. I have an Ps 4 pro and it sounds in some games like jet taking off. I constantly play 4k uhd movies for past two years. Sorry for your problem, but answer is no, it is a not cheap machine. It is working
at least 12 hourse per day in our house hold. But, machines are machines. Sometimes mercedes benz as a brand new car is faulty. Wish you the best of luck and have fait in the next machine.

I think just over time anything may eventually encounter an error, somehow misfunction and even break. Xbox's are man-made and not immune to failure. I have a microwave that randomly puts 7 seconds on the timer and a washing machine that no longer sounds
the correct tune when finished. Thankfully, my Xbox's are still trucking along without issue.

Maybe take your disk out before you go to bed. Try a power cycle?
