Why are these apps always in the update queue?

queueing it before migration lands the us content (your previous region) content in your queue you generally cant override that as its permanately in your queue

that's usually why you must always use your actual region

Is there an update for the app ? Check your update queue as this could be the reason ?

Mine worked perfectly after the last update but then the servers started doing as you've described. On server browser you'll see lots of people in queues, there's a reason for that, the queue games always load correctly so as a temporary measure I'd suggest
joining a short queue and you'll get in every time.
