Why are there no consequences for careless people harassing and threatening online?

Also to add, Xbox should add a option to block accounts from by the same xbox as the main account originally blocked (if that makes sense).

Clearly there is no way to get around this, and Microsoft will surely say “well you can turn your privacy settings on”, nobody wants to do that. Maybe make a friendly safe environment. Maybe ban people who so carelessly through around life threats like a joke.

There is consequences but you are forgetting the most important point

If you are retaliating you are endorsing their behaviour

Trashtalking is allowed in moderation

But if you do not wish to talk to someone stop talking to them and block them

Communication suspensions just mean they can't msg not necessarily gameplay

And if you are still talking to them you ain't doing your job and yes enforcement sees that

As they LOOK At THE WHOLE conversation

If you break the rules also you will get punished

People do harass within the rules or just do it to get a retailiation they can report

And then they just make a new account to continue

That's called a troll

If you fall for it it's on YOU

This is why safeties are in place

For you to use

If you don't use them and retaliate by continue to harass them too

What do you expect to happen as the rules apply to you too

And yes they troll you for an reaction that is human nature

Tell us when you create an invention that blocks free will let us know I'm sure people will buy it

I did when I wa sbullied yes I wasn't punished tools a 7 year old kid at school and I swung back

Eventually we made up as we took classes with a speech teacher

@op turn on contacts to friends only and stop msging the harasser

Do NOT retaliate with msgs which leaves you.open to enforcement the rules apply to everyone not just them

just report and block it's that simple

Contacts to friends only doesn't allow other person to contact you with an random account and you shouldn't be accepting random msgs or friend requests

You still have party chat and lfg and pm for people you play with

And no you do NOT find out about any enforcement actions taken against the other person as it's none of your business

If you had blocked them then you wouldn't know about his status would you as he would be invisible to you

If you retaliate the rules can apply to you if you break the rules too

Reporting someone is NOT retailiation

However harassing him back or trashtalk is

And it actually unblocks the person till you block him again

This is why common sense needs to be used

I mean this respectfully, I (and others) dont want to do that nor should we have to. We should expect a safe environment as thats what it is supposed to be.

Also, I wasnt asking for the outcome, I respect that privacy. The post is why are there no consequences. That was my point I was trying to make. You and I both know this man and alike wont have anything happen yet anyone can be banned for a simple f bomb with the boys.

Hello i was banned for hassment abuse & threatening. but i did not i have a communication banned. so how could i harass someone when i dont have the feature to message people. this report happened 3 days after my communication banned. i wasnt online until
3 hours after i got notified for harassment abuse. plus theres no evidence of me abusing or threatening anyone. xbox enforcement team please review my case again
