    Why are there black and purple squares in the top middle of my screen?


    I'm playing the Lightyear world and on both my phone and Switch, there are these black and purple squares covering a good chunk of the screen. I want to play it because it's been fun and I'm close to beating it, but it's annoying and hard to see parts of it with that covering that much. There have also been a lot of other glitches, but this one is the newest.

    Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are experiencing a distinct background while in the main menu of Minecraft.

    Considering how this is only occurring in a single game, it would indicate that this would have to be an in-game issue.

    I would recommend that you attempt the solution provided by Xbox Forums Ambassador

    re-install your game     and see if this helps alleviate this matter.

    However, if this does not resolve this, then we would be lacking the tools necessary to assist you further with resolving this.
