Why are the Xbox controllers getting SMALLER?

Let me start by saying that I am not a giant and I do wear XL sized gloves.
I have been gaming since the 1980's starting with the original Nintendo Entertainment System and have been playing on Xbox from day one of it's release and specifically HALO.
I have noticed that it is becoming more and more painful to play for any extended amount of time using an Xbox controller.
I believe that this is being cause by two factors. First, the offset/asymmetrical thumb stick placement and the ever shrinking size of the controller itself.
Can ANYONE give me some direction as to where I can purchase a much larger controller and preferably one with the thumb sticks placed symmetrically?
I noticed that SONY is bringing out a new handheld device that has the thumb sticks on opposite sides of a center screen. That device is about the size a large controller should, in my opinion, be.
It is not just small children playing video games, it's full sized adults, some of whom are construction workers, lumberjacks and professional athletes and the tiny controller makes us want to go do something else...

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

i found out that the issue is( well besides the horrid analog stick tension and flawed buttons) the grips, they are made to be gripped by 14 years olds and not late teens or adults. what the hell!!! the xbox 360 and xbox one controllers were perfect for everyone but now they want to fully cater to kids. Why even bother making a gaming console if you only wanted to appeal to a very specific demographic that is more interested in your competetion as in sony and nintendo, who btw have normal sized controllers. this is literally xbox being dumb and stubborn, even xbox's sub reddit (those who are not employees) have said the same thing yet this company is refusing to listen

Other than that, the only huge controller I'm aware of is the Hyperkin Duke that Sword mentioned.

The offset sticks are best ergonomically. The claw grip is makes it hard to reach the face button, which is one of the reasons why I've always hated Sony's controller.

There is a replica of the original Xbox controller available from hyperkin, and they're shipping at 360 controller this week that are compatible with Xbox one

You know, I understand making some of them smaller for people who have smaller hands (I'm an adult with child sized hands), HOWEVER, I don't understand how it's fair to make all of the controllers smaller to make it easier for some people and not for others. That's not accessibility...

Do what I did,.get any Xbox 360 wireless receiver, a wireless Xbox 360 controller with dpad cardboard fix, purchase and update the wingman xb2. You gonna need more info which I can tell you later but omg the Xbox 360 controller buttons are so amazing especially for a game like mgs v and it's dolphin dive. I feel no lag too but did have to change settings in-game, make to never update controller firmware on console cause I heard Xbox put out an update that makes the controller incompatible. Jesus this company, I'm throwing this console in the trash after my year expires. I'm just so over this
