Why are the textures so bad in Warzone 2.0 on Xbox Series S?

It wasn't a refresh rate issue. There's a bug that limits textures where it looks like minecraft at any resolution and refresh rate. I dropped the resolution to 1080 and 60hz and was still experiencing low res textures. Resetting the xbox solved it for.

You’re playing at 120hz, try dialing it down. At that refresh rate resolution is often sacrificed.

my brother is having an issue with warzone 2 on the xbox s, his textures are flickering to black, gonna point to him tot he factory reset with keep games option. Was just curious if this was what you were experiencing or if it was closer to using the wrong level of detail on the texture?

That’s a pretty useful solution, I wasn’t aware of the fidelity fx cas setting
Just to confirm, when you say reset the console, do you mean power cycle it? (As a reference for future players with the same problem)

1. Turn off your console by pressing the Xbox button on the front of the console for about 10 seconds, until it shuts down completely.
2. Unplug the console's power cable from the console and from the power outlet. Wait 5 minutes.
Important: Be sure to wait at least 5 minutes. This step resets the power supply.
3. Plug the console power cable back in.
4. Press the Xbox button on your console to turn it on.

they have not been acquired by microsoft yet, that will be completed by next summer if it is not blocked.
