Why are the games by default installed in German language and how can I set it to English?

The game apparently defaults to French when the language is set to English (and only French and German are available languages for the game).

My region was set to Germany for some time but my console was always set to English. And the game always defaulted to French. So the game doesn't care about my region settings and only checks the language settings. When changing the console/system language to German the game is also German (English is not an option and when set as the system language changes the games language to French).

May I know if you tried changing your regional format to English too?

If maybe the issue persists please change the Windows display language to English (United States)

Explanation:

It could probably be that the Games-on-Demand version just supports French, Italian, German and Spanish as default languages. So it could be due to this that you can't start the game on english or russian. I've had the same problem Dishonored starting in
French, but after setting my console language to german it worked fine. With my console language in english it would start the game in french.

the game should always be in english even if the box in german

there is a setting in the xbox to have the language of the games to be what ever language you want

and it stays that way

since the default is always english you should be fine

i have cases when my games sometimes wouldnt be english so in this case its a maybe

yours could be only european language only, pretty sure english would be on there
