Why are some games region blocked in Japan?

Lately i had to ask for a refund on a game advertised on Xbox website because it was nowhere to be found on Japans Xbox consol online library. Region block the tech says. This just limits and restricts use of the consol overseas. If the intent is to
make people switch, sorry to say, its working.

Region locks would be put in place by the publishers so you'd have to reach out to them to find out why specific titles are locked. In most cases it's due to rules and regulations in the country.

could you try Setting your console Region to uk or us?

a gf noticed some games changed when she was visiting her parents in Japan, then came back to europe, she forgot to set her xbox back from Japan Region

it's because europe uses PAL dvds for some reason when japan and US use NTSC, some games are region free though, some are not, about 20% of games on 360 are region free ( not sure if they work everywhere though) and about 99.5% of ps3 games are region free.

are you in germany japan or china?

If so that would be why it's not available in those regions

Is your account set to where you physically are ? Likely japan ?

If not that would be why

Your physical location and account region must match to get region locked content

Your accounts language is set by the supported languages of your region account

So If you physically are in japan and trying a Us account for Us dlc thst wont work

Japanese account and actual location japan will and It may not support english
