Why are serious reports taking so long for action to be taken??

There has been this guy who was harassing me with about 20 messages while i was playing Forza Horizon 3. Caling me a noob, loser, and all that, also sending me videos and pictures of him beating me in a race or something to mock me. First off he was crashing
into everyone trying to race, i asked him to stop and then he began to go kinda crazy with all the messages . I’ve reported him and every message of his, saying that it was harassment. However he kept on going for another TWELVE HOURS. I still don’t think
any action has been taken against something as serious as harassment. Another occasion with someone else i name-called someone, nothing that bad it wasn’t really a curse word, however within 15 minutes i was suspended for a day.

Communications Ban

That could be why you received the action. Some people think it's a great game to bait others into replying then report them. It's best to not fall for the bait and report the message if it needs to be done.

The PET are the Policy Enforcement Team. They are responsible for handling all enforcement actions on Xbox Live. You can get more info about them at enforcement.xbox.com

The Enforcement Beta that you saw is not part of the PET and was a program for the Ambassador program. It was never official and did not allow anyone to report other users via it.

It does not put you on a watch list. However, each successive action against your account will be for a longer duration until, eventually, an account would be banned from Live.

For some reason i wasn’t able to post my whole message so here is the rest of it: I don’t see how one word from me gets almost immediate action while someone who has been nonstop harassing me for half a day was allowed too for such a long period of time.
Doesn’t make sense to me at all. What is wrong with the priorities of Xbox’s Enforcement Team??

 

Enforcement action is almost never immediate. The enforcement team takes time and effort to investigate each report they might get (thousands daily). If you were banned it was likely for an offense that may have occurred weeks earlier and it just happened
to line up with another time you may have broken the code of conduct.

Be sure to block this user so that you no longer receive these messages.
