Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I understand that you have questions regarding the disk space that the Xbox App is using whenever you install the game.

Are you referring to the WindowsApps folder? None of the games are downloaded twice or taking twice the space of your drive. This has been explained in an existing thread that the files in this folder are disk images of the game, in their native Xbox format, which are mounted as virtual disks by the Xbox Virtual Disk driver.

Why does the vudu app take forever to load and feels like it's only half the app as any other version. My Xbox 360, ps3, and smart tv have about the same options, but the Xbox one versions are missing parts from the my vudu section to organize by purchase
date, a-z, categories, and it goes on and on.

But they are both the same games so the same files why wont it work

Most PC games (with the exception of GoG) have DRM protected files. So, even though the 'files' that make up the game are the 'the same', the copy protection isn't. Hence why you can't use Steam files for Xbox App games.

Ok, for one thing, I had to make a new account bc this annoying website will not let me sign back in. Both windows and the xbox app are fully updated, both the app and the game are on my computers hard drive, running it as administrator does nothing, and the link for bethesda's forum is for the steam version of the game. Any other solutions?

At least tell me if it will save my data if I delete it and reinstall? i know that it the case with consoles, but i don't know about the desktop app. And again, any ideas on why the file is so large?

It's not just bad for friends, it has none of the industry standard features of any of the other apps. Hell, even the brand new bare bones Epic app is better than Xbox companion.

I recently formatted my PC, and wanted to get all of my Xbox companion app games ready, like I had for all my other apps (steam, Origin, etc...). However, the Xbox app, for some reason, can't recognise previous installs game files (like all the other apps
did instantly), so I thought i'll just start the install and it will recognise them then. NOPE, it just deleted all of the game files and proceeds to re-download all of the game files unnecessarily. What a waste of my time.
