    Why are my games not downloading?


    I’ve been having this issue for awhile now; the issue has persisted ever since my Xbox had some OS bugs a few days ago. The biggest problem now is that my games won’t install or update and this is greatly hindering my gaming experience. It will say installing then it will say "Installation stopped", before this it will download at a nice 100+mbs for a split second before dropping to 50kbs. I have gotten around this by switching the plan I’m using back and forth to try and use this split second of good download speed but it’s just not something viable as a fix. The problem with the installation is that it persisted through a reset of my console. I have seen other people have issues similar to mine but I’ve never seen an actual fix as they usually boil down to resetting, but that doesn’t work.

    The installations have never reached 100% on their own. As of right now I’m again checking to see if it will download, if not I will contact the live support team.

    I decided to try and reset again and it seemed to have worked for only a little while. The game downloaded at half of my usual download speed until it reached “ready to start” and once it did it gave me an “installation stopped"

    The issue seems to have resolved itself. My games now download normally, unfortunately I don’t know the actual fix but I’m just glad It works again.
