Why are my game pass games closing without notice in the middle of missions?

Don't worry, this is a fairly common problem, but it has a solution, follow these steps:

First, make sure Windows and all its services are up to date:

Open Settings, click Update & Security, and then Windows Update;

Click Check for updates;

Click the Download and install now option, if available;

Also, check the Microsoft Store for updates to Xbox apps and services.

Then try this:

Go to Windows settings > apps > find the gaming services app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click on repair then restore, open the app and try again.

Then do the same with the Xbox app:

Go to Windows settings > apps > find the Xbox app > click on it and select advanced options.

After that, click on repair then restore, open the app and try again.

Finally, uninstall the application and reinstall it. As a last option, you must verify that the date and time on the PC are correct.

i have the same problem too but i noticed the the problem only started when i closed the app in the middle of a level (without losing)

Lately games are usually removed at the beginning of the month and in the middle, with a two weeks notice. Shenmue I and II were removed yesterday from the game pass.

I've notice when you launch a game from game pass that you don't own at the bottom right hand corner of the screen a white square with the words game pass in the middle of it will show up. But if you launch a game you do own that is on game pass it won't
show up. This is a rare problem. I remember reading about it months ago.
