    Why are mods not available for Stardew Valley?


    I understand that there are some issues with installing mods that are not offered by the Microsoft store or otherwise vetted by Microsoft as there could be issues with cheating in online competitive play. However, Stardew Valley is in no way is an online competitive play game. It’s really weird that Stardew and games like it are lumped in with games like Overwatch.

    As I said, I do understand the issues with data file tampering. But I also ask again, why aren’t mods available for Stardew Valley? From what I understand, Concerned Ape doesn’t mind mods or modding, in fact from what I’ve seen and heard he gives the data for updates to modders to update their mods and files before an update actually comes out.

    So is there an actual reason for a lack of even simple mods for Stardew Valley or is it kind of just a big shrug emoji? That being said, is there any way to submit requests for games to get mods?
