Why are Fortnite game updates so slow lately?

my xbox 360 slim has gotten REALLY SLOW here lately it takes FOREVER for updates I sat one day for 4 hours updating a game and then ill try to download a free game and it will take HRs and ill eventually cancel because im so stressed with it and mad

I love Apex, I love PUBG too but it feels really really slow after playing Apex. I don't even have any hate towards Fortnite. I just suck at it, I feel like I started it too late

I understand you need help with your game update problem.

If I may ask, is this only happening to one particular game that is currently updating? Is this happening to other games as well when you try to download them?

If this is happening to one particular game, this could also be due to their servers when updating a game.

If this is happening to all games, you may also do a reset on the console to see if this helps.

Let's refresh the console's system cache.

NOTE: This will remove the profiles on your console, make sure that you remember the email and password to your account.

No data or game saves will be lost doing this, everything is backed up to the cloud servers.

1. Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

2. Select Settings.

3. Select System.

4. Select Console info

5. Select Reset console.

6. Select Reset and keep my games & apps

This will also help sync the data on your console properly.

If that does not help, try this.

Please Go to Settings:

> Network

> Network Settings

> Advanced Settings.

Select the alternate MAC address and then select delete/clear.

You must restart the console for the change to take effect.

And please do this:

Set DNS manually. To manually configure DNS settings, follow the steps below:

1.- Go to Settings

2.- Select Network

3.- Select Network Settings

4.- Select Advanced network settings.

5.- Go to DNS Servers, set it to Manual> enter 8.8.8.8 in the 'Primary' field and 8.8.4.4 in 'Secondary'

^ I've seen a few posts lately where other gamers have reported problems with games/updates downloading really slow, I'm guessing Xbox LIVE is having some issues?

Why do you say this? Fortnite is available on Nvidia streaming services, so why would they not allow it on Xbox one? Especially with all the media coverage lately relating to Xbox removing pay barrier and the focus on cross platform play. I know Activision removed there games from Nvidia streaming service but that looked to be an issue between those two companies.
