Why are custom images locked for adults

I dont see a valid reason that it should be locked at 18 years old as the majority of the audience is children and such an unharmfull feature is locked it is just pointless to restrict (any ways around it)

Hello Sir/Ma'am. Whenever I try to give myself a custom gamerpic, I'm given the same message: : Choose one of the featured images. Custom images are only available for adult accounts. My Microsoft Account is 27 years old, and I'm an adult account in my Microsoft
Account Family. Help would be very much appreciated. Best Wishes.

 

it's restricted because people may use inappropriate images.

 

Adults can still use them and besides they allready have a blocking system

 

Adults have the ability to determine what is appropriate and what isn't, and are of the age where contracts (such as with the Microsoft Services Agreement) apply.

 

I disagree that majority of audience on Xbox is children. Rather average age of a gamer is in 30s, believe it or not.

 

Im not trying to say that gaming is for children im just saying that almost every child will have a pc or console gaming is a hobby for all ages

 

Although that is true lots of the “adult accounts” are owned by children therefore breaking the licence agreement anyway.

 

It has something to do with online usage for minors.. Minors don't have full access to features on Xbox LIVE. You may find it harmless but think of the bigger picture.. Be open-minded.. Look at some other social media sites, they can freely post about
themselves which makes them vulnerable from strangers.. It is somehow like this with custom images, they may be able to upload a photo of themselves... You may argue about freedom of speech or that you can control them on what they upload, but still, there
is a law to follow to PROTECT MINORS....
