Confirm they’re in your Microsoft Family and if you’re sending money to a child account, then you need to be the parent/organiser (adult) to approve purchases, send money, etc to them.

If you’re trying to add money to your family member’s account so they can buy a digital game, then a workaround to this would be to purchase the game as a gift

As we can’t access your account here, you would need to contact support directly. They should be able to resolve this for you. We’re mostly just regular volunteers and fellow gamers here on the forum, not Microsoft employees or affiliated to them in any way.

When contacting support, you may need to adjust your options to speak with an agent. Try selecting ‘I don’t recognise a charge’ or ‘I can’t redeem a code’ under ‘subscriptions and billing’. Live chat is probably the best option to speak with the account team.
