    Why am I still considered a child account ?


    I put my actual birthday into my Xbox 4 years ago when I was 17 , it’s been 4 years ….. I’m still a child . Whenever I try to get in contact with someone about this they say they can’t help me . Why is it so difficult for me to play your console . There’s no auto update for when the kid turns 18 . You can already see that I was under age . That’s bs I want answers but yet I can’t seem to get them .

    You have to promote the account to an adult one yourself.

    Why am I still a child account?

    You must set an age when the account is created. This age is either manually entered or can be pulled from a registered email.

    You could check http://account.live.com to see what age is attached to the email address. This may or may not accurately reflect the xbox account though.

    As far as I know, there is no direct location to look up the age tied to the gamertag.

    The reason why you're still a "child" is because you haven't promoted your account from a child to an adult. In order to do this you will need to visit this page
    here.

    Please Note: You will need access to the parental information on the account in order to be able to promote the account.

    Microsoft doesn't have a support e-mail in regards to Xbox LIVE issues (they used to but no longer). The only area that has any sort of support tickets is the Microsoft Account Team. Xbox Support utilizes these forums, Microsoft chat support, phone support
    as well as twitter. All of these options are available here.
