I understand that you are experiencing issues with multiplayer access to Minecraft.

I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

This is one of those intermittent glitches where Minecraft’s synchronization with Microsoft’s parental control system temporarily “forgets” that your settings are permitting multiplayer.

And when the Switch’s session goes idle or you take a break, it might be revalidating the account permissions with Microsoft’s servers, and that process gets out of sync. That is why signing out and then back in or putting the console to sleep seems to fix it briefly wherein it forces a refresh with the parental settings.

Since the organizer account has permitted the child account to be able to access multiplayer it should be working.

If incase it happens again, kindly manage the privacy and security settings of the account using the organizer and toggle the multiplayer settings. Make sure it is "Allowed" and then submit the changes.

I am a minor, but I am on custom, and I have allowed everything (multiplayer, going online, etc.) No parental restrictions.

Far as I know, there is no restriction on that in the game...more likely, the child account has some parental restrictions preventing it

I believe this is to prevent signing into another account to bypass any restrictions.

A possible future implementation could be to just require the parental control code to access content that is normal restricted. But currently a global impact is the only way parental controls will work.

Demos, trailers and certain games multiplayer modes have age restrictions on them thus preventing them from being accessed by minors. No matter what adjustments are made via Family/Parental Settings those will be unavailable by
default and can not be changed until the account reaches the appropriate age.
