    Why am I not receiving the ancient coins I purchased in Sea of Thieves?


    I have purchased 3 different bundles of ancients coins and a plunder pass, however haven't received any in game. I bought them as "Add-ons" through the Xbox store. I also have all my purchase history but still no coins. I'm not really sure how to get them now and I could use some help. I tried resetting my game after each purchase but never found anything.

    I understand you need assistance with your Ancient coins. If your transactions are showing as "Completed" in your Order History at https://account.microsoft.com/billing/orders, kindly try to resync your Xbox profile to your console by following the steps below. Make sure that you know your account logins before doing these steps.

    REMOVE PROFILE:

    To remove a profile: From Profile & system, select Settings > Account > Remove accounts. Select a profile, then select Remove.

    POWER CYCLE CONSOLE:

    To restart your console: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller, and then select Restart console > Restart. To power cycle your console if it's frozen: Press and hold the Xbox button on your controller for 10 seconds. Then press the Xbox button on the console or on your controller to turn your console back on.

    RE-ADD PROFILE:

    To add an Xbox profile to a console, press the Xbox button to open the guide and go to Profile & system. Select Add or switch, and then select Add new and follow the instructions.

    Just a friendly reminder, if in case it still doesn't show up in your game after doing the steps above, kindly give it time as sometimes, it can take up to 24-48 hours to show up or reflect in our game.

    So recently i bought ancient coins for Sea of Thieves but i can't understand why but i need to migrate my purchase from one account to another so it can work. Can that be possible?
    Unfortunately it is not possible to transfer any purchase from one account to another account.

    Redeeming a code problem

    You may be correct, Krystian. I found a helpful article from Sea of Thieves Support:

    "When purchasing Bundles and Ancient Coin packs for Sea of Thieves, it is important that you purchase through the correct store for the platform in which you are playing. Otherwise you may not receive the items in which you have purchased!

    So this means that if you are playing on the Steam version of Sea of Thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Steam store. And likewise, if you are using the Microsoft Store or Xbox version of Sea of thieves, then you must purchase your content through the Microsoft Store."

    Unfortunately, Microsoft Rewards redemptions like Ancient Coins for Sea of Thieves only apply to the Xbox and Microsoft Store versions of the game. They’re directly tied to your Microsoft/Xbox account, and the PlayStation version of Sea of Thieves runs independently of Microsoft’s ecosystem.

    Since PS5 accounts don’t link to Microsoft’s in-game purchases the same way, you won’t be able to use Microsoft Store Ancient Coin redemptions on your PlayStation copy.

    In short:

    If you're playing Sea of Thieves on PS5, any Ancient Coins redeemed through Microsoft Rewards will not show up in your PlayStation account.

    You're not alone — a few players on Reddit ran into this exact situation, and the consensus was the same. If you have a PC or Xbox version tied to the same Microsoft account, you could still use the coins there.
