    Why am I lagging on xbox


    I have checked everything and I have done everything like restarting and fixing my network connection but i still can't play a game of Fortnite without lagging. I lag in every single game not only Fortnite. Can somebody please help me. is it because of the Xbox system update or something?

    I apologize for the inconvenienced this has caused you. I will do my best to help you.

    Please power cycle your Xbox by holding the power button on your Xbox for 10 seconds to shut it down completely. Unplug the power cord for a few minutes, then plug it back in and restart.

    And then optimize Network settings. Run a network test on your Xbox by going to Settings > General > Network Settings > Test Network Speed & Statistics.

    Ensure your NAT type is set to "Open" for optimal connectivity.

    Next is set a manual DNS, please go to settings> network> network settings> Advanced settings>DNS Settings> Manual.

    PRIMARY DNS: 8.8.8.8

    SECONDARY DNS: 8.8.4.4

    Then make sure that there are no unnecessary apps or games are running in the background, as they can consume resources and cause lag.

    Check for System Updates by going to Settings > System > Updates to check for updates.

    If your Xbox's storage is nearly full, it can impact performance. Kindly delete unused games or apps to free up space.

    If the issue persist after performing the troubleshooting steps, please use a wired Ethernet connection instead of Wi-Fi for a more stable connection.

    My NAT Type is now OPEN, and I get full bars when I am connected to Xbox LIVE, yet I still tend to lag quite a bit. I am not understanding why I still lag.

    can you name the games you are experiencing lag in, i have below average internet and experience no lag, xbox live is good in that regard, im not sure why, but just list the games, i experience no lag in halo and gears of war, so if youre experiencing lag
    in those games, i am not sure, either go on someone elses xbox on different internet, maybe a friends house or something, and on their xbox and download your profile, if it works fine then it is not the xbox, it is your internet, then phone up your internet
    provider and say you are experiencing lag on xbox
