Why am I having intermittent audio issues with my Bluetooth headphones?

Hi. I launched Halo 2 today for the first time after purchasing the collection and that’s when it happened. Halo Reach and CE don’t have this issue. When I use only the speaker of my laptop or regular headphones (pin inserted in the jack), audio in the cutscenes is fine but doesn’t work in the missions. If I use Bluetooth headphones, audio works perfectly in the missions but not in the cutscenes.

I have a Bluetooth 5.0 dongle connected to my PC. When in Bluetooth mode, I get no sound in games. only once the cable is connected it plays sound, but it cuts out intermittently. any advise? anyone have the same issue? when connected to my Xbox one X, the Audio & mic all works as intended, even simultaneous connection with my phone, but NOT when playing PC Games.

when the xbox one launched there was no bluetooth in the console, there was no bluetooth in the controllers.

bluetooth came to the controllers from the s model up and that was to connect to pc or phone, that bluetooth functionality was for connection only, no audio passthrough.

the only way your going to get audio passthrough via the controller on pc is have it hardwired.

whats the point of bluetooth audio passthrough, if your using on a pc then you have many options to connect bluetooth headphone, headsets etc, same goes for mobile.

your bluetooth headset with mic is designed for audio and talking via bluetooth, the cable that you can plug into your headset and then to the controller only enables audio not mic. lots of bluetooth headsets and headphones are the same, the option to plug in a cable is for audio only.

I can't believe there is a thread about Bluetooth! Who would want Bluetooth when you can have WiFi direct, the way audio wireless is going. I am sorry for those that dropped money on good headphones and an old generation but hey this is a new generation
why do you think people should have to pay for x1 to have old tech included so you can use old headphones? You would not complain your car stereo won't work in a new car without having to purchase an adapter which x1 has hinted it would be making.
