    Why am I being prompted to buy a game i own and installed?


    I reinstalled COD Cold War. I installed all 5 parts (campaign, online, etc) plus 2 bonus content packs. Everytime I go to enter and play it i am prompted to buy the game again for $60. I own the disc and had it installed before and now i dont understand why im being prompted to buy it again when it is showing to be installed.

    Thank you for posting in the Microsoft Community.

    I can see that you are having trouble playing COD Cold War after reinstalling it. This issue may be caused by a corrupted license or a mismatch between your disc region and your account region. Please try the following steps to resolve it:



    - Make sure your disc is clean and free of scratches.

    - Make sure your console is set to the same region as your disc. You can check and change your console region in Settings > System > Language & location.

    - Make sure you are signed in to the account that purchased the game or has the game license.

    - Go to My games & apps > Full library > All owned games and select COD Cold War. Press the Menu button on your controller and select Manage game and add-ons. Delete any content that has a yellow exclamation mark next to it.

    - Restart your console and insert the disc again. Wait for the game to install and update. Do not launch the game until it is fully installed.

    - If the issue persists, please contact us again with your gamertag, disc serial number, and a screenshot of the error message.

    Halo MCC disappeared after I paused the update?

    This just happened to me and I am now being prompted to buy the entire game all over again. I own this game and ive owned it for like 5 years. It has now disappeared off of my xbox after pausing the update and i now only own it because of my game pass subscription.

    @stone nobody is forcing you to buy anything. Why am I being forced to buy a headset? I already own one. Take it out and give me, $20 off. If you don't want to waste money on the kinect then why are you buying an xb1?
