White Whale location not appearing

As you sail around the high sea and look at your map left arrow on your controller and use you marking button. It seems you are not using any of the tools given to you in the game unless you're doing MP witch I stay out of. The whales, sharks, fish (tuna)
come around not on command, watch for those tall light rods that appear on the open sea avoid fast travel and sail around a bit.

Use the eyeglass to zoom in and scan the ocean, you are looking for circling birds, sometimes they are for the sharks and other whales but they will show on your map in white once discovered. Anything flashing blue is a community event. I think there are
some in the top right (easy) area of the map but I can't remember exactly where now. Some locations I was given by the barman in the taverns (it will cost you 200R and they give either white whale, naval fleet or cadaver locations). Good kuck with your searching

No talk to the barmen in the taverns (it will cost 200R) but they will give either cadaver locations or social naval fleets/white whale locations (they are the ones flashing blue). You can also find them yourself at sea, none of my friends have been playing
this and I've had no trouble locating them.

i was wondering about that, I think it only shares with your friends.

I see white whales now, but no community chests.
