    I have made a similar post to this in the Series X thread, but I've been recommended to ask here.

    I've now gone through 3 (yes, you read it) Series X's due to sending back to Microsoft and getting a replacement from Game (UK retailer) because of this irritating issue.

    There are white dots on so many of my games.

    I feel it is a software problem as I've come to this conclusion: I've had my xbox replaced twice, upgraded my tv to an OLED CX55 and it still persists. Even when trying out on a Samsung UHD 49" TV (from 2016) it still happens.

    I've noticed a few games with this problem:

    Recore - you can see sparkling pixels on the floor where the geometry has been put together. Sparkles on objects on the characters weapon on the back, especially in dark areas.

    Gears 5 - sparkles on wet dark surfaces, on metallic surfaces, dark areas.

    COD Black Ops Cold War: Shadows are bouncing everywhere and completely inconsistent.

    Dirt 5 - Reflections all sparkle and items with a lot of details jitter about.

    Doom Eternal - objects with high detail (happens with curved objects) sparkle like Gears 5.

    These are a few instances I've picked up on. Either I've been incredibly unlucky with three different units or theres a huge problem with the OS controlling the graphics engine.

    I'm on the BETA program, but this also happens when I uninstall the insider update from the Series X.

    Please do not tell me I have to send it back AGAIN?!

    If you see flickering black and white dots on your TV, make sure you have selected the correct input on the TV where your console is connected to.

    Black and white flickering usually happens, when you set the TV to TV-tuner input, and there is no antenna connected.

    The few things I find could be better...

    I wish they'd let you change the reticle color... that first scene, shooting in the snow with nothing but a tiny white dot to aim with is hard. or driving and trying to spot where that little dot is is hard. I wish it was cross hairs or was like bright
    green/blue/red... anything other than white gray or black

    Thanks for your suggestions.

    We only use the XboxOne for casting from my Samsung Galaxy Tab A7 to our non-smart TV.. When my wife noticed the dot a couple of days ago I did a factory reset of the Xbox and downloaded Wireless Display and Prime ( just to see if the white dot appeared on both).

    Prime is fine and the white dot on Windows Display looks like a pointer within a circle. I have a picture but don't know how to attach it.

    When we were in the same crew, friends had a light blue ring around the white dot while crew members had a dark blue ring around the white dot.

    .

    Never seen any solid dots outside of a bounty.

    I would recommend then to uninstall and reinstall the game see if that corrects it.
