The systems running the 360 and Xbox One consoles are not PC based. As such you cannot install windows software and use it on the console(s)

Can't see how Windows 10 will have any impact on the console with regards to running games. Xbox One games don't run in Windows, they run from the console's other operating system - the console has three operating systems, only one of which is Windows based.
In any case it would only be the Windows 10 Kernal that console will get. Not the full PC OS.

It all depends what Operating system you have as to what version of minecraft you will need to buy.

If you could share which Operating system your PC is running, we will be able to tell which version of minecraft you need to purchase.

Let me make something clear. Developer mode isn't some locked out feature that you've paid to unlock, it's a very cheap licence fee to actually develop apps and games for the console. It was not Microsoft's intention to give you access to install and run emulators on your console.

As for a virus, while it's not beyond the realms of possibility, it's extremely unlikely. Computer viruses need a host operating system that the virus needs to understand to infect. A typical Operating system is one such as Windows, Linux, android, iOS or MacOS. But, the Xbox console has it's own bespoke operating system which is neither of these operating systems. A virus wouldn't be able to run on an Xbox console. And, as previously mentioned, Xbox is a locked down system that can not run unsigned code.

Your chances of getting a virus in your Xbox is practically nil.
