Which is the best of these games? GTA IV, GTA V, WD or Sleeping Dogs?

I didn't like GTA4 but loved 5. Never finished it, so I am glad it is getting a X1/PS4 release. I haven't played enough of WD to form much of an opinion, I did like what little I've played of it though.

 

I'll probably say GTA V, even though I can't stand it anymore. GTA IV was a complete joke of a game. Sleeping Dogs is fun for a while, but gets fairly boring after a while and I have not played Watch Dogs yet, but I will. GTA V is the more expansive world,
but it got boring for me fast, also the ending sucked.

Edit: Actually don't answer that as it would spoil the game for others.

 

Actually every single ending sucked. They were as cliche as they come. No spoiler in saying that.

 

I played GTA IV for 5 minutes. So no comment on that.

I beat GTA V and it was good, but not the best game ever.

I beat the *** out of Sleeping Dogs and did everything available. The game was boring? There was so much to do in the game! If you just stuck to the storyline, then I can see how you got bored quick. I did a little bit of everything and couldn't stop playing.

I haven't played Watch Dogs at all, but I heard it's good on next gen only doe. 360 apparently sucks.

 

Crackdown 1 and 2 actually remain my favorite sandbox games. Part 2 is best for weapons, abilities and gameplay; part 1 for atmosphere, story and style.

GTA V blows IV out of the water, in my opinion.

 

GTA V vehicle physics are complete garbage compared to IV, Its basically lame Midnight Club and borderline with BS saints row now

You cant drift or do peel-outs now, Supercars go up grass hills better then Offroaders, Hitting a curb doesnt even effect your vehicle , The driving has been so dumbed down for the casuals

I played IV online for 5+ years, just because of how great the vehicle physics were, 1000+ race wins

Got bored of V in 2 months

 

Got all these but WD so my choice are only out of the games i got and that choice is Sleeping Dogs..didn't care for GTAIV and love GTAV(especially the story and everything is beautiful) but SD takes the cake for me with a great story and the fighting system.

 

Just to add to my previous msg but i can't believe i left out the Pork Bun guy in Sleeping Dogs...everybody needs a Pork Bun

 

"Sleeping Dogs" is like "GTA" but differs in the fact that it's actually fun to play.

"Watchdogs" on the One is your best bet.

 

Sleeping Dogs for me, own it on both consoles ans went to launch night for the 360 ANZ version. I was a "true crimes" fan as it was but Sleeping Dogs is such a quality release.

Who mentioned just cause 2? I Platinumed that on the PS3 and 670/1000 on 360, Love that game

 

#! GTAV- Ton of quality content from the story, the world, and little extra details you almost never see in other games. Just gets the parody/caricature atmosphere just right.

#2 Sleeping Dogs great story missions, and incredibly solid game mechanics. Had quite a bit of extra stuff to do as well beyond the story. Combat was really the highlight. Always felt like I could have done better in a fight and when I stringed together
fighting and the environment it felt great.

#3 Watchdogs- I like the scout, plan, and when that fails improvise most of the missions give you. Also the hacking mechanics especially the camera jumping and slight puzzle aspect to it works really well. Don't like the fact a lot of situations where mowing
down the AI versus carefully planned approach reward you the same. Not sure why, but the world just seems disconnected from the rest of the game. It's not one thing it's just all the little things that aren't right and whats not happening. That was a great
thing about GTAV just watching the world and the reactions. Story is alright so far about two thirds through.

#4 GTAIV- Just felt bland. Was just missing that tongue in cheek that you kind of expected with the franchise. A good game just not the best compared to San Andres or GTAV.

Other open world games I had a lot of fun with.

-Red Dead Redemption- Amazing story arc and beautiful world. Some of the mechanics feel a bit unpolished while others are spot on.

-Just Cause 2 Stupidly fun and just getting around was half the fun of the game. Also gigantic game world. Could play for days and not revisit an area.

-Saint Row 2-4 Just a ton of fun especially with playing Coop.

-Red Faction Guerrilla was fun in how the complete destructibility let you handle situations like no other game since.
