Which is the best of these games? GTA IV, GTA V, WD or Sleeping Dogs?

So which is your favorite out of these four games and why?

I bought GTA IV and absolutely hated it because it was boring. I just couldn't get into it. Is GTA V better? I'm really looking forward to it as I skipped it last gen in hopes it would release this gen which it is.

Is GTA V better than Watch_Dogs or Sleeping Dogs? I now people will say you can't compare them, but they are similar. I absolutely love Watch_Dogs and I thought it would be a stinker. I also absolutely loved Sleeping Dogs too.

Which of these games has the biggest city? Which has the most to do and see?

Gta IV Vs Sleeping Dogs, which is better?

I just finished the new Sleeping dogs and everybody is comparing the game to Gta iv. I think they did good what do you think?

 

Looking for a New Game to Get Into

You know I described "Sleeping Dogs" as "GTA... but fun".

To give credit where it's due "GTA V" is a really good game and heaps more fun than "San Andreas" or "GTA: IV".

It also looks stunning on the ONE.

 

Currently GTA V has a larger map and has lots of things to see and do. All games are equally good and depends on your preference. WD was ok, lots of things you can hack into but its core mechanics are similar to AC and FC3 with watchtowers (ctos towers)
to unlock hacking ability in that part of the city.

GTA IV was good but it felt more like a drama than adventurous. Sleeping Dogs is essentially a True Crime sequel then bought by SE from Activision, who made TC: Streets of LA and TC: NYC.

As for new gen GTA V, a lot seems to have been improved if the PS4 trailer is anything to go by which will look the same for X1 and perhaps vastly improved for PC.

 

The open world game with the biggest map is currently Just Cause 2. Fun as the game may be with OTT destruction and 'splosions, town and city liberation is exhaustively repetitive.

 

I haven't played Watch Dogs yet but i imagine I'd have fun or an hour and then Ubisoft's poor execution of gameplay will rear it's ugly head.

 

Well first off I agree with you about GTA IV. As far as the other games are concerned I loved them all. Now based on your last 2 questions its GTA5 all the way. Its significantly bigger than any of the other games mentioned(or at least it feels that way
to me). It also has far more side activities like golf, tennis, etc.

 

That's good that GTA V is way bigger. Hopefully I will think it's more fun than GTA IV.

 

Which has the most content? Definitely GTA V. Watch Dogs has a ton of side missions and other various quests to do, but they can be a little repetitive. As someone above stated, some of the mechanics feel like Assassin's
Creed after awhile. That's not to say it's a bad game, because it's not. I have had a blast with Watch Dogs, it's just that after you finish the story, you begin to realize how shallow the world is. Of course, that's just my opinion. I'm sure there are people
out there who prefer Watch Dogs to GTA, and that's perfectly fine.

As for Sleeping Dogs, I can't really compare it to Watch Dogs or GTA. It's an open world, mission based, sandbox game, and that's where the similarities end. The core mechanics of the game are completely different. Sleeping
Dogs is a ton of fun, and I recommend anyone to play it. That game has some of the most fun combat I've experienced outside of the Arkham games from Rocksteady.

I've had many good times on GTA Online with my friends, when it's actually functioning that is. Server problems aside, I'm still finding new ways to have fun in GTA V, and I'm sure that will continue when the Xbox One,
Playstation 4, and PC versions launch. Now, all Rockstar needs to do is add heists.

 

Even with the similarities you really can't compare Watch Dogs to GTA.

Now GTAIV to V on the other hand, there's something I can compare. I did originally find IV very boring at first and I feel that was because they made things a little too life like, for example your friends constantly wanting to hang out, that became very
old and just added to overall grind of the gameplay.

GTAV really didn't have anything of that feeling, for me anyway. Everything seemed so interesting and full of life, that it's very easy to get side tracked and realise you've spent hours doing nothing, haha. Also the level of detail in the world was amazing,
I couldn't get over the tread on tyres of the cars etc. After writing all that, I think I'll have a hard time not buying this on the X1....

 

I haven't played GTA V yet but GTA is still better than Watch Dogs or Sleeping Dogs in my opinion.

 

I enjoyed GTA IV and thoroughly enjoyed GTA V more. V is more vibrant had more character to it, plus a very good looking game with great size and bound to look amazing for next gen.

Sleeping Dogs I couldn't get into, it didn't have that factor about it that would make me come back. Who know, I may give it another go somewhere down the line.

 

I preferred Sleeping Dogs and Watch Dogs to GTA. It's probably not popular opinion but I liked the gameplay and environments better in the 'dogs' games.

Most people prefer GTA though.

 

I'm with Pinbot. I can't really get into the GTA games. I didn't play Sleeping Dogs until about a year after it was released and absolutely loved it. Having said that, I think Watch Dogs *might* take the lead, but I'm not finished with it yet. The hacking
aspect just adds a lot to it. Doing an entire mission where I don't have to actually engage in the enemy, but I can go from camera to camera and take them out is pretty awesome.

 

I've not played Sleeping or Watch Dogs, but out of GTA4 and GTA 5, I'd say GTA5 is far better.

Yeah GTA4 was a little slip up, it's an average GTA game but still a fantastic game in it's own right.
