    Hi,

    I've had to log on to here with my sons' account.

    He has an Xbox one s

    Unfortunately he decided to take it apart in the middle of the night to clean it and has broken one of the cables.

    If anyone can tell me what cable this is so I can buy a new one I'd really appreciate it.

    The A type is the standard for most video devices for home use. Your Slim, DVD player, Blu-Ray player and PC all use type A.

    All versions are backwards compatible.
    The 1.4 version will work but is not necessary as the console cannot utilize the Ethernet functionality or the 3D support if your TV in not 3D capable.

    Don't waste money on premium cables or gold plated this or that. Just go to your local store and find a length that suits your needs.

    Version 1.4 type A contains everything that previous versions had, so it will work.

    The A,B,C and D are different sizes and shapes for various applications. Most of what you see in a stores home audio/video sections are type A.

    This is idiot proof, just walk into a store, pick up a cable that says HDMI and take it home. If you spend more than one minute looking at the cables you're over thinking it. Just grab and go.

    im an idiot when it comes to these type of things so just to make sure i understand, wiki is wrong by saying all type a are version 1.1-2, b is 1.1.1-2, c is 1.3, d/e are 1.4? since you guys have said their backwards compatible does that also mean wiki is
    wrong about types a-e all being different sizes? once again im an idiot in these matters.
