    Where’s the spring in the 360 controller’s trigger?


    The spring in my 360 controller’s right trigger seems to have been disconnected somehow. The button still sends a signal, but it doesn’t spring back up when I depress it; I have to pull it back out manually. I tried opening it up, and I see some little
    plastic piece that broke. Im not sure if its related to the spring mechanism or not. Anyways, I’m trying to find out where exactly the spring is located, and how I might be able reconnect it. I tried watching a couple videos on deconstructing the xbox controller,
    but I could never get a view of the actual spring mechanism. They seem to take the whole trigger out, spring and all, as one piece. Anyways, I’m hoping someone who knows a bit more about the inner workings of the controller can help me find it. Thanks.

    Xbox One controller doesn't feel right

    I have bad tendon damage in my right hand and it's hard for me to use the XBox one controller, the triggers are weird and take too much effort to push them in, like a spring is not existent the trigger or bumpers. Also as a guy whom is 6'3' and can palm
    a basketball, this controller is way too small for alot of people whom have X-large hands and wish Microsoft would make a bigger version of the new controller or allow 360 controller support as both have 2.4Ghz radio frequencies..

    My left trigger started squeaking during one of my gaming sessions and you are not kidding about it being annoying... I ended up taking controller apart and repositioning spring that is under trigger. Squeaking stopped after that and has not returned.

    There are controllers with trigger locks like the Elite controller

    You can purchase the adaptive controller. The logitech accessories kit has spring loaded levers you can use for triggers, as well as great flexibility to move buttons and such around. It's compatible with the standard 3.5mm jacks, so if you have existing accessories they may work just fine.
