At the moment there is no possibilty to record a clip without the voice command, but in the october update for the dashboard a button command for the controller will be included.

There is a bootleg version of the dashboard update available. People that download this version via usb and install it on their console will no longer be able to connect to xbox live.

The official release will be available in xbox.com on the 26th of october.

Dashboard updates modify files on the Hard drive, but also modify the firmware. A rollback will most likely not do anything as it only affects whats on the HDD and not the firmware.

People who have downloaded the fake version have 2 options:

1 - wait october 26th and hopefully the real version will overwrite the fake one

2 - send their console to repair and pray the service center doesn't ban it for downloading fake MS software.

i updated my firmware to BWQ.4 it's from october last year and the current firmware.

Before i had BWQ.0, but that was not the Problem.
