Where would I go to get a new gray plastic clip that goes into my joystick module?

Drift is just wear and tear on the copper contacts in the joystick module it is not only Xbox controllers that do it. I have been repairing arcade joysticks since the early 90s for this same issue. sadly it just happens... even to my elite controller and
if you are out of warranty and are tech savvy a quick google or youtube search will show you how and where to install new joystick modules.

I fixed my controller for at least another 6 months by replacing the 3D Controller Joystick Axis Analog Sensor Module, which only cost $2.15 for the part. It was actually an easy fix if you know how to solder (soldering is very easy), but it still gets annoying
having to do it. So, does anyone know if you can use a xbox 360 3D Controller Joystick Axis Analog Sensor Module on an xbox one controller? The part looks and measures the same, but I don't know if it will act the same. Anybody have a clue, I know it was built
with a metal bracket opposed to plastic, so I'm wondering if that is why it doesn't break down as much as the xbox one. Please so input would be very appreciated!

This will possibly get deleted but here goes anyway.... I've had the same issue with my joysticks where they drift or even wear away to being completey smooth.

So I ordered some new joysticks and replaced them. It is easy enough to do, I guess it invalidates your warranty on thr controller but if it is years old like mine, there is no warranty left.

If it the regular Xbox controller or a special kind?

All Xbox controllers have this problem. It is a little grey chip in the left joystick that re-centers the stick. The problem is, the plastic of that chip is so fragile that even a slight nudge at where the chip is located(Right Side of Joystick) will break
it off. At the moment I have not found a way to fix this but to buy a new controller for a silly problem.
