Where is the moderation?

I've been verbally attacked, over the last several days, with people using the F-word, calling me a chicken [mod removed], etc. I report under profanity, but the messages aren't deleted. All I can do is block the user. Yet, a week or two ago, I told someone he was a [mod removed], and I got a three-day suspension?

I just paid for another one of your consoles, and spent more money on Game Pass. I EXPECT your moderation team to work consistently.

I will not put up with this nonsense, in any form. Where is the justification for the inconsistency? Why are there nonsensical subcategories under which to report something? You need to up your game. PERIOD.

I'm not sure I believe that. A lot seems to have changed, and the human element seems to be gone. I've been playing it VERY cool with people who have said downright absolutely disgusting things to me. I don't enjoy paying for a service that allows that type of filth.

Furthermore, there are users that have attempted to insult me by using special characters, and albeit it's clear to me the types of words they're trying to create, it's not being picked up by Microsoft. I think there needs to be a human element in this, and I feel there isn't.

There is. That's why investigations can take time and suspensions aren't always issued immediately. As long as you're reporting them, they're being investigated.

To the best of my knowledge these messages are not deleted. You would need to delete them yourself.

The Xbox messaging system has the ability to automatically check for swear words and phrases. It can even detect terms and phrases that the user has attempted to hide with an Asterix (*) symbol or other non standard characters. If the system detects that a user has sent a message that contains profanity, and has breached the EUA, it can issue an automated coms ban. This can happen even if the recipient has not reported such messages. This would explain your previous suspension.

When you report other users, you will not be informed if any moderation has occurred. This does not mean that no action will be taken. Since coms bans do not affect the ability to play online, you may still see some users that you have reported still playing on the Xbox service.

We feel the algorithm isn't working as intended, anymore, or that Microsoft has gotten much less strict, yet it doesn't explain why the words [mod removed] would warrant a three-day suspension, when far worse words are not being deleted.
