    the game would not start , it kept saying , the game needs updating .

    So I tried to update the game , and it kept saying error .. So I uninstalled the game and installed again . Now my saved game is GONE . Isnt this the next gen of consoles , if I delete an installed game on my xbox360 , it doesn't delete the save game data
    ..

    Plus as well I thought cloud was there to save games , looks like it wasn't .. NOT HAPPY with the ONE performance so far.

    anyone else had this problem

    Where is my saved data?

    So, I got a new Laptop, since I'm moving, and still wants to be able to play some games. I installed FH3, and when I started the game, It started to sync. After that, All was gone. I've had it installed on 2 previous desktops, and 1 xbox one with out any
    issues. The save was there, after the sync.

    What I've done so far:

    1. Checked that I got latest update (1709) for Win10

    2. Signed out from Microsoft store, and Xbox app

    3. Updated Microsoft store

    4. Has done an msreset on Microsoft store, and after that signed in on both Microsoft store, and Xbox app.

    5. reset the game

    6. re-installed the game on diffrent SSD.

    And still, the progress is not there.

    IN xbox ap, it still says that I have 1050G out of 2500G on Forza Horizon 3, so there's something there.

    Like 10 min ago, I contacted Xbox support, who refferd me here.

    What can I do to get the issue solved?

    I refuse to start all over, when I was lvl 57x something, and had like over 500 cars, and 20million cash in-game.

    I'm having issues where, despite my game save from the 360 being in the cloud, and despite the One saying it's synced, none of my game saves from the 360 are showing up except for my achievements. So my achievements are there, but none of my actual
    saved game progress is there, and none of the features requiring game completion are unlocked despite having a game saved where I completed the game.

    not all xbox app saves are saved in that location, many save in different locations.

    *If you are playing on Xbox, you can find saved data of your progress in each game, just go to your games and apps, click the menu button on the game, select manage add-ons and games, click the third option where it says saved data.

    If you play your games through the Xbox app, you will find them as follows.

    By default, your games will be saved to the C: drive and the common location for saved games is C: \ Users \ NAME \ Saved Games \ GAME. Once you find the folder, you can back up the files to another storage device.

    i would google each game for locations, they could be in the save folder, documents folder, apps folder or even cloud. there is no specific save location.

    It's called WindowsApps.

    It's encrypted and protected. You can actually take ownership of it, but doing so is still pointless as it will still remain an encrypted folder.

    If you've migrated to a new PC or re-installed the OS you'll need to take ownership of the folder to delete it in order to install new apps and games to the drive.

    where the games saved

    they are under an encrypted folder called apps on whichever drive they are installed on, you cannot access the files as microsoft went doen the route of encrypting the folders. if you access them then they will become unplayable.
