    Where did the headset volume go?


    In the past I could change the Headset volume, Headset chat mixer, and Mic monitoring from the furthest right tab on guide menu when you pressed the home button. Recently it’s disappeared. Where did it go?

    EDIT: I found it! If you’re playing a game, press Home. A speaker icon shows up at the bottom right of the first tab on the menu that pops up.

    Is My Headset Adapter or Controller Broken?

    Go to the left (on the Xbox One menu) (when a sidebar shows up) and scroll to the bottom where it says "Settings".

    There should be a headset volume in there if you are connecting the headset to the controller and make sure the volume is on 100% (there won't be an actual percentage but a bar).

    Have you tried a 2nd headset? Sometimes those volume knobs and mute switches on headsets where out and can cause issues like this.

    If you have tried another headset also be sure to test a 2nd controller and also go into the system volume settings and make sure the volume for voice hasn't gotten turned down at the system level

    Did you tried to go to settings<volume & audio output and then choose at party chat output your headset.

    Did you check your headset to ensure the volume is not muted? Your mic may be muted. And also, check to make sure in the settings that the volume is set to headset for chat mixer.

    If you go to Settings > General > Volume & audio output, what's your "Headset Format" set to?
