    Where are we at with Mouse/Keyboard?


    So I've been out of the Xbox world for awhile been the X has me thinking of returning. One of my hesitations is I remember reading something that said MS is going to support M/K on their consoles. As someone who realizes the advantage a M/K player has
    but prefers playing with a controller, this drives me nuts. Are they really letting M/K into the console world or did I get something wrong?

    That would be disappointing if they sold the xbox division.

    It's rumor as far as I know. Seems like every few months the same article gets copied and pasted to drive up hits on their site. Last rumor was the new CEO (who hasn't been announced) would consider selling the xbox division. Seems kind of strange. Don't
    know who they are going to hire for the position, but already know one of the things they are going to do during their tenure?? Just more conjecture.

    As far as I know, USB Keyboards are currently supported on the Xbox One, but only for typing messages (not game input).

    KB/M support was confirmed by Microsoft back in September, but there's no exact time frame other than "coming soon" (by Mike Ybarra). Balance in multiplayer is the key thing that Microsoft and the game devs acknowledge. What I believe
    is likely going to happen is that game developers will be given the choice of incorporating this input option in their games, and they can let players choose whether they want to play with KB/M users or not.

    Will Xbox Scarlett be able to detect and disable/ban Xim and other mouse and keyboard adapters?

    I doubt that it will be banned, But the fact that these adapter make keyboard and mouse emulate a controller does pose an issue since the Xbox thinks a controller is plugged in and allows for aim assist with keyboard and mouse.

    We will just have to wait and see where this goes, I don't think we have to worry too much since Xbox now supports keyboard and mouse the sales for the adapters will soon start going down considerably if hasn't already.

    Pfff, people complaining about others using a mouse and keyboard probablys suck at the game they're playing and just want to shift the blame to those using a keyboard and mouse.

    Personally, i enjoy PC shooters like Z-doom where i use a mouse and keyboard, it's pretty fun, but $150/£75 for a keyboard and mouse? I'd rather not.

    Controller input is my biggest problem with the Xbox One.

    but mouse and keyboard means you can turn around at unnatural speeds, where is the realism in that, I moved away from keyboard and mouse years ago and will never go back.
