    Where are saved games stored on the Xbox Harddrive?


    After an update failed I'm trying to back up my saves from my Xbox One, I did not choose to save to the cloud. Before I restore my Xbox I want to at least have a copy in case it deletes my saved games. which partition are saves in? I would assume it's in the one called User Content.

    Thanks that's not listed as an option. (Keep games and apps) has a disclaimer (Erase all accounts, saved games, settings, and home xbox associations, but keep installed games & apps).

    i'm afraid that you are stuck down, I would recommend turning back on cloud saves once you're back up and running

    i'm sorry we cannot help with self repair, the Xbox hard drive is not meant to be accessed by the end-user and if you have not backed them up to the cloud, the only thing you can do is choose to reset and retain your data and hope that it makes it. I would highly recommend you turn on cloud saves. And I would also recommend you check to make sure that you don't have them, because it's on automatically

    harddrive is better, because if you using your 4 gb without a harddrive, you might jus have no room for saves and might make xbox slow, but having a harddrive, you have room for saves, less chance of xbox slowing down, and stalling your game on the harddrive
    lower the risk for the xbox to start messing up
