    Where are game DVRs stored on OneDrive?


    Hi,

    Today I just used the select all option to upload all of my captures, from Xbox Live and my console, to OneDrive which completed successfully. I proceeded then to delete my captures from Xbox Live which deleted my captures from my console too which includeds
    3 years of content. When accessing the OneDrive linked with Xbox GamerTag I cannot locate the files.

    Game DVR still too limited on XBox One X

    The new Game DVR feature of XBox One X is impressive, allowing 4k HDR to be recorded in 60 fps.

    The GOOD news is that you can use a NTFS-formatted, external HDD to up to 1h Game DVRs and edit on PC.

    The BAD news are at least 3 of them. I'll list them up...

    1. Upload Studio and YouTube are not yet updated to edit and support 4k HDR Game DVRs. These should be updated...

    2. Upload Studio could be ported to Windows as well, as not only be an app for XBox One.

    3. 4k HDR Game DVRs are stored in MP4-format, which is great, but coded, making it difficult to be recognized by most video editing softwares on PC. I tried to used Movie Maker for YouTube and Instagram on PC, but wouldn't notice the Game DVRs stored as
    MP4 on external harddrive.

    So again, Upload Studio and YouTube should be updated to allow editing and supporting up to 1h 4k HDR Game DVRs stored on external HDD. This is what eeryone wants, so make that happen as soon as possible...

    Hi, title updates above 5mb are stored in the game folder. Any title updates that are less than 5mb are stored in the cache. It has always been that way. So whether or not the game is a game from 2008 or from 2014, where the update is stored depends on
    how big a size the update is.

    The game dvr upload to one drive function doesn't work due to my OneDrive being full and I can't get rid of the other files on the existing OneDrive due to them being sentimental. So I'm wanting my future game recordings that I choose to upload to OneDrive
    to be uploaded on my new OneDrive online storage account, therfore I can download and edit them on pc or mobile, do you get where I'm coming from?

    My xbox has loads of storage it has 3TB, just my OneDrive for game dvr uploads is my problem, not the xbox live storage either

    export your game dvr recordings to onedrive then clear them off the live account, you cant have unlimited space for dvr and saves, so reduce the amount of dvr files.

    I can guarantee that copying your DVR's to Onedrive works, I don it all the time.

    Just remember after uploading them to Onedrive you then have to delete them from your DVR.
