Whenever I try to switch my home Xbox it is not doing anything

I talked to Xbox support and they said whenever I try to switch and I have no switches it should give me an option for help but it just does nothing? Whenever I hit learn more under switch home Xbox it doesn’t say anything about getting another switch. I am using switches for the first time so I don’t know if they start off at 0 or I have to do something?

Hi, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Each account has 5 switches per year, Caleb and if it's showing as 0 it means that you may have used it without noticing it.

If you're trying to find the Help option to possibly get an extra switch and you have already checked on the learn more tab but isn't showing up, I apologize but we may need to wait for the next available switch.

are switches assigned to your account or xbox? when i log in on the new system, won't that count as a switch since it will be trying to set it as my home xbox? then, i remove the old one from my account. Now, when I try to go on the xbox I am sharing
with, do I need to set that as the home xbox to my new console? Will any of this count as a switch?

If I switch this console to my home Xbox will that affect anything on the current home Xbox, will my mom still be able to play all the packs or just the ones on her account?

My friend claims he hasn't done anything to the home xbox and neither did I. I do have three more switches on my account but my friend already used his 5 this year.
