Whenever I try to play a game, my screen turns green.

After exiting to the home screen, the screen remains green. Fiddling with the hdr settings on the xbox the color comes back to normal, but when I try to play it happens again. I have hard reset the xbox swapped hdmi cables and also swapped hdmi ports. Can anyone help me understand whats happening?

Tv is fully up to date but I noticed when i toggled the game mode setting on my tv the effect happend. I turned the low latency off in the settings and am able to play games without the picture change.

If you don't mind, please answer the following questions:

- May I ask which Xbox model you are using?

- Could you tell me which HDR settings are enabled at Settings > General > TV & display options > Video modes?

- Have you already tried changing your TV's HDR settings or checking for TV firmware updates?

I've been having a similar issue on my Series X. Haven't had it happen while gaming yet though (with the green screen). Mine seems to be an issue with video playback. Whenever I'm navigating my game DVR viewing clips, it freezes and boots me to the dashboard, then all my clips are green screen. Then if I launch YouTube and try to play a video, it black screens and crashes the entire console (basically turns itself off). When I boot it back up everything's fine and working again. Luckily I've only had it happen a couple times but I worry that it could turn into a bigger issue down the line. I've also experienced a couple game freezes that completely turned the Console off, minus the green screen though, the games just froze and the console turned off.

Thank you for posting here on the Xbox forums. Are you saying that you get the Green screen whenever you turn on the console, but there is no Xbox logo? Do you eventually get to the home screen after that? Is there anything that you can not do, such as launching
games or apps or playing online?
