: when x box would not connect to the router ....

I had a similar problem for a few hours...the message said visit xbox.com something......I found that it connected OK when I started up using the other controller......i think the white one and the red had somehow switched roles......

If you are using an ethernet cable, try checking the connections on both ends. If you are using wifi, either check the wireless signal in the room the Xbox is in or check your network provider for outages. If the signal is weak, try a booster or moving the
Xbox closer. Alternatively, things like microwaves can interfere with wifi signals. If all else fails you may have a faulty unit and may have to send it off for repair. I hope this helps,

X-Box One - Can't log in, rebooted the router many times and no help. Rebooted the X-Box many times and no help. Even when the X-Box is sitting next to the router it will drop out. Computer's are fine, log in and no drop out at all, even the computer that
has a wireless connection and is in a far bedroom. The X-Box is constantly dropping out and always a problem with log in. Carrier is Spectrum, no problems there. Out of two Windows Ten computers, a Samsung Smart TV there has never been issues, but X-Box is
a constant problem.

*fixed* disconnected my x box from the router then made a new connection with the same router and everything came back......

Wow and to believe it or not, I'm having the same issues as well with my X-Box Live Account, and my internet provider is also mediacom here in Geogia. I been trying since last night to get it back runnning, I tried resetting, rebooting, even re-doing all
of my ports on my router, but nothing works, I tried running the X-Box Live test again and again, I can connect to the internet, connect to my router, but when it trys to connect to X-Box Live it fills up 1/4 of the bar then drops out... So I guess it is with
my ISP Mediacom..

Are you using a wireless G or N router? G band is for text and pictures. N is for streaming video and games. Also some router don't work well with the X-Box adapter. You may have one. When I fist got on I was using a Linksy G router. It took three day's
but it started working. I always had problems with that router. From what you wrote you NAT should be open. Now one thing to try is call your ISP and see if they have any settings in the modem that prevents the connections Some do and they can or will walk
you through turning those settings off. I would try that next. Also does the router see the x-box? It should see the adapter even if you can't connect.
