When will you fix your OS and add a setting to keep the controller on indefinitely

have you seen the latency from bluetooth audio via tv's and streaming boxes, shoot a gun and hear it 5 minutes later, they can easily add an option into the controller update so you can specify how long the controller stays on for in the accessories app.

because that's not part of the operating system, it's part of the controller

Absolutely no one would put a microphone Jack into a video game console directly, starting with the fact that people sit 10 feet away from their TVs and demand wireless accessories in general. The last time you saw something like that the Sega Genesis came with a headphone jack that they took out when they revised it

Most modern televisions and streaming boxes support Bluetooth, which you can use for your desired result. Or you can purchase a stereo receiver and connect via HDMI which will give you access to both wired headphones and usually Bluetooth

Good thought, but this doesn't address the controller not appearing under 'Bluetooth & devices'.

One more detail, when I connect the controller wirelessly to the pc via the Xbox Wireless Adapter. Press the sync button, light blinks rapidly. On PC click 'add xbox controller via wireless adapter. The controller light immediately goes solid, but the PC never indicates it found a device, it just keeps searching indefinitely.

Have those of you who have had this problem, updated your controller from the settings menu when the latest build of the XB One OS has been released?

A big fix for this that works is to factory reset but use the option to keep my games and apps. This will reset your OS but wont effect your account or games.

Settings >System >Console Info and Updates >Reset Keep My Games and Apps
