    When will we get more information about unmigrated MC accounts?


    I lost my old minecraft account because I was too late with migrating it to a Microsoft account. I saw in an earlier post that information on releasing old usernames would be released in march 2025. Its now april and I was hoping for a clear answer on when I could get my old username again. Thank you

    Get information about an account

    You can try using this tool - https://support.xbox.com/en-US/my-account/microsoft-account/forgot-microsoft-account-solution or contact support to
    see if they can get you the email. 1-800-4my-xbox if you're in the US/Canada.

    If it is an older account of yours, you would have to change the gamertag to something else in order to free it up for use on your current account. It's not possible to totally deleted an Xbox account. Nothing can be transferred between accounts.

    Hi. My name is Brilliant and I am happy to assist you today.

    All Minecraft accounts were meant to be migrated to Microsoft. This was done by the users themselves. The last call for migration was September 19th, 2023. Once the deadline for migration is reached, players will no longer be able to access unmigrated accounts. All unmigrated accounts will be deleted at a future date.

    Microsoft Account issue: something went wrong migrating Minecraft from Mojang to Microsoft.

    Hi Ollie! I'm more than happy to help you!

    Based on the information I've gathered, it seems the migration of Mojang accounts has now been completed. It is no longer possible to migrate unmigrated accounts or make the move.

    Starting September 19, 2023, at 11:00 am EST/17:00 pm CEST, unmigrated Mojang accounts will not be able to sign in to Minecraft.net or the Minecraft Launcher to migrate.
