When will the update for the CMOS battery issue for series x and s come out?

That's an issue with ps4/5 and them dying and yes ps4s died

The serirs s /x wasn't out long enough for the issue to be relevant in 2021

Cmos batteries llast longer then 5 years each time you turn on the console the battery battery is recharged

What you are mistaking is it was identified as a possible issue and they would fix it

No console died that way on the xbox side

Dispite the ps4 cmos issues they Still sell like hotcakes along with the reboot of death on ps5 which Sony like xbox quietly repaired with the exception of ps5 reboot of death hasn't stop them from selling like hotcakes though it's where the ps 5 would corrupt external hdds saying it lost connection and you lose all your games and game saves on said device

And since thrtre hasn't been any actual reports on jt by tear down websites

You can't test the theory since it trips the gravity switch you wouldn't be able to use a xbox series console if you trip that

Ps5 can because you can open it up if you have small hands to reassemble back the console because ita tightly packed and weighs a ton

It would be a regular system update you wouldn't be able to tell unless the xbox live servers were down and we are past 2026 since cmos batteries last 5 years or longer most computer cmos batteries last 20 years as I had old pcs sand laptops that still work

But you still have to connect to xbox live to activate the console

No-one would be able test it since you can't trigger the error without hitting the gravity switch.

As sony did it's an easy fix but you gotta remember they did it quietly not to mention you can tear down a ps5 if you got the hands ro do it (it's tightly packed)

Update on the problem: I have figured out why I have to reset the CMOS every time there is a power failure, the CMOS battery needed to be replaced, since it is the same battery from 2017, and it was on it's way out, which it wasn't suppling enough power, and causes it to corrupt the CMOS

But then if it;s the wrong battery pack, it shoudn't work with either controller ...the fact it works in one but not the other points to an issue with the second controller

The Xbox One Venom battery pack won't even fit in the Series X controller (or at least not without trimming bits off it)..as the OP can fit the pack with no issue, it suggests it's the right battery pack. Unless Venom have released more than one battery pack for the Series X?

Nothing does 8k except for tech demos because disks can't hold 8k and player does 8k you have e.to wait for a future update

And series s isn't capable of 8k it only upscale to 4k only series x and maybe the refreshed ps5 coming out soon could possibly do 8k

Series x we have to wait and see when the update happen

The Series S only works from a mains supply. It does not contain a battery. It must also be connected to a TV or Monitor.
