When will remote play return to windows 10?

Since the remote play is truely a feature of Windows 10 playing on a mac without Windows 10 will not work.

I can confirm however that running a windows 10 parallels VM will in fact let you play and stream the xbox from my macbook pro.

the idea of xcloud is that, to be able to play your xbox games anywhere. throughout 2020 will go to the different countries

Thank you for taking the time to post this on the Xbox Forums. We understand that you are currently seeking a way to play games from home on another network.

Currently, the only that works similar in this way would be Xbox Game Streaming. This essentially allow you to use your console at home as a server,
and you can then launch your games of your mobile phone.

This however, does not allow you to play them on another console. This would at most require you to have an external hard disk drive so that you can transfer your games in this method. You will still need to connect to Xbox Live to sync your save data as
well.

Alternatively, Xbox Play Anywhere titles allow you to play these games across a Windows 10 device, or an Xbox One console.

I'm hope this was able to clear up any confusion about this matter.

If the feature has been removed, as you say it has, then Microsoft would have had a reason for removing it, or it could be that they are going to include it in a future update. At the moment, no one knows why Microsoft removed the feature for this generation
of consoles.

I'm having the exact same issue.

iOS Xbox app works fine with remote play.

Brand new Windows 10 PC causes the error.
